On The Farm at Bear Creek
300 acres of adventure on Lookout Mountain — right outside your cabin door
Private Hiking Trail & Bear Creek
A private trail leads from the property down into Bear Creek — a secluded, scenic walk through woods and rock formations to the creek below. Great for nature lovers and photographers.
Trail is steep in places and not recommended for guests with bad knees or back problems, or for very young children.
40’ Slide & Swing Sets
Kids and adults alike love our 40-foot slide and swing sets built right into the natural rock area. A one-of-a-kind play area you won’t find at any hotel.
The Pond — Fishing on the Farm
Our 3-acre pond is stocked with bass and brim. Catch and release only. Bring your own fishing gear — no fishing license is required. A peaceful spot to relax and enjoy nature.
Rocks & Goats
Explore our “God-made” rock playground — massive boulders and natural rock formations that children and adults love to climb. Then visit the goats and cows on our working farm for a real farm experience the whole family will enjoy.
Visit our Photo Gallery to see pictures of everything the farm has to offer, or check out Area Attractions for even more things to do nearby.
Step back in history and spend some timein an authentic rustic hand hewn log cabin.
Our cabins are reconstructed from original 1800’s American Pioneer log structures, lovingly moved to our 300-acre farm on Lookout Mountain and rebuilt as unique vacation retreats. Nestled in a secluded natural landscape adjoining Little River Canyon National Preserve near Mentone and Fort Payne, Alabama, each cabin blends rustic, historic charm with every modern comfort you need.
Every single cabin features a private hot tub, rock fireplace with gas logs, fully equipped kitchen, outside campfire pit, charcoal grill, satellite TV, and fresh linens. Hike private trails, fish our 3-acre pond, rock climb, feed the goats and cows, or simply relax under a sky full of stars. Children and adults alike love our “God-made” rock playground and wide-open farmland.
Whether you’re planning a romantic honeymoon getaway, a family vacation, a group retreat, or a pet-friendly escape, Bear Creek Log Cabins has the perfect cabin for you. Call or email Sandy Galloway directly for available dates and rates — no booking fees, no middleman, just honest hospitality from the owners.

Your Host
Randy and Sandy Galloway own and operate Bear Creek Log Cabins. After collecting and restoring several 19th-century log cabins, they moved them to their family farm on Lookout Mountain and rebuilt them as unique vacation rentals. The Galloways live on site and treat guests like friends.
We purchased our farm in 1995. From 1998 to 2001, Randy and I found, tore down, and restored our very first authentic log cabin — a labor of love that turned into a dream. Today we have seven individual cabins and The Lodge to share with guests from all over the country. We believe God allowed us to have this beautiful property to share with others.
When you book directly with us, you speak with the owners — real people who personally handle your reservation, greet you on arrival, and make sure everything is perfect. We are happy to answer every question, share local tips, and help you explore the best of Lookout Mountain.
