Reservations

A deposit is required to reserve dates in our cabins. Deposit amounts are determined by the cabin rented and the number of nights reserved. When you call to reserve, you will be asked how many guests will be staying — this number determines your rate. If additional guests decide to join after your reservation is confirmed, please notify us before arrival. Additional charges may apply.

We live on the premises and are always nearby. We ask that all guests respect the property and fellow guests. No out-of-control parties — but we absolutely want you to have a wonderful time.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens — illness, family emergencies, and unexpected events are a reality for all of us. As a small, family-owned business, cancellations do significantly impact us, so please review our policy carefully.

  • 14+ days before arrival: You may reschedule your visit (additional deposit may be required), or receive a cash refund minus a $30.00 cancellation fee.
  • Within 14 days of arrival: The deposit is forfeited, unless we are able to rebook your dates — in which case the standard cancellation options apply.
  • Groups of 2 or more cabins: The cancellation deadline is 28 days before arrival.
  • December reservations: The cancellation deadline is also 28 days before arrival.
  • Weather: Weather conditions are beyond anyone's control. No refunds or discounts will be issued due to weather. Please check forecasts before your trip using zip code 35967 at weather.com.
  • Early departures: No refunds for early checkouts or unused nights.

All cancellations must be made by phone call only — you must speak directly with Randy or Sandy. Emails and messages are not accepted as cancellations.

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in: 2:00 pm
  • Check-out: 11:00 am

If no other guests are scheduled to arrive or depart, we are happy to accommodate early check-in or late check-out — just call Sandy and ask. We do our best to be flexible for our guests.

Pets

We do allow some pets in some of our cabins for an additional pet fee. No pets are permitted in The Lodge under any circumstances. It is mandatory that you inform us of any pet at the time of reservation — all pets must be pre-approved before arrival.

Please keep your pet in a carrier or kennel when you are away from the cabin. Unauthorized pets will result in immediate eviction without refund.

Smoking

All cabins are non-smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted outside on the porch or grounds. Please use the furnished ashtrays and dispose of cigarette butts properly — do not leave them on the ground.

Hot Tub Use

All hot tubs are cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival. Please be aware that there are certain health risks associated with hot tub use. Do not stand on hot tub covers — they are for insulation only and will break under weight. Please remind children of this before arrival. When the hot tub is not in use, replace the cover to retain heat and keep out debris.

Maintenance & Equipment

We cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, air conditioning, hot tubs, televisions, satellite receivers, or other appliances. Please report any inoperative equipment to us immediately and we will make every reasonable effort to have repairs completed quickly. No refunds or rate reductions will be made for equipment failures.

Pest Control

We are located in a natural, wooded environment and many insects and wildlife live in this area. We perform regular pest control on all cabins, but cannot guarantee a completely pest-free environment. Should you encounter a pest issue during your stay, please contact us immediately. No compensation is offered for the presence of pests.

Cabin Care

Please return all furniture to the position in which you found it upon arrival. Do not disconnect any cables or plugs from televisions or electronics, as this may affect their function. Bed linens and bath towels are not changed during your stay. The initial supply of soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, and trash bags is provided as a starter set and is not replenished.

Guest Responsibility

Guests are solely responsible for any property damage, accident, or injury to any person, and for any loss of money or personal property arising from their use of the cabin or the property of Bear Creek Log Cabins. We ask that you treat our cabins and grounds with the same care and respect you would give your own home.
