Little River Canyon Center
Open to the public since 2009, the Little River Canyon Center is a Jacksonville State University facility adjoining Little River Canyon National Preserve. It features a Grand Hall, high-definition movie theater, gift shop, natural history library, interactive exhibits, classrooms, back deck overlooking the canyon, and an outdoor amphitheater.
The exhibits explore the natural and cultural history of Little River Canyon, the Cherokee people, and the rich biodiversity of the canyon ecosystem. The Canyon Center is a great first stop for guests who want to understand and appreciate the remarkable natural environment before heading out to explore Little River Canyon itself.
