Little River Falls

Little River Falls marks the dramatic beginning of Little River Canyon, where the Little River plunges over a broad sandstone ledge in a spectacular curtain of water. The falls are easily accessible from a paved parking area right off Alabama Highway 35, making them one of the most visited and photographed natural features in DeKalb County.

Just downstream from the falls is the famous Blue Hole — a natural swimming hole with calm, clear water that is enormously popular on summer weekends. Little River Falls is just minutes from Bear Creek Log Cabins — one of the first natural wonders many guests discover upon arriving on Lookout Mountain.
